roseThis is what Axl Rose looks like today.  We have audio of him singing lead for AC/DC right at the beginning of the podcast and a lot of politically incorrect comments that you expect from DANNYLAND!   Just click below to listen.

crazy radio

Danny lets it all out this time.  He starts with a child’s book that he received from an ex that has finally impacted his life.  What is Ellen thinking?  What does she really fear?  Political correctness has already affected Halloween.  The need to arm yourselves now more than ever to protect your family.   Just another day in DANNYLAND!!

Danny beardI’ve been lackadaisical in my blog.  For that matter I have been lackadaisical in my life for the past four months.  I have become obsessed with what direction I wish to take next in life.  Just over four years ago I told management at my last station that people don’t want eight songs an hour…they want content…GREAT content.  We agreed to disagree and went our separate ways.  Guess what?  The show in there now isn’t playing any music.  It wasn’t a surprise to me because I knew I was right then but now I’m truly at a crossroads.

I don’t own a radio.  I only listen to content so that forces me to listen to podcasts at my leisure.  Same thing is happening to TV.   I have had numerous offers to return to radio but they want me to run these “features” like “Three things ya need to know”. “College of Knowledge”, “Skirt with the Dirt”, etc.  I have no desire to waste the listener’s time with such predictable content.  I also don’t find someone making an ice cream sundae in their pants on a street corner to be very compelling either.

Okay jackass.  You just spent two paragraphs ranting about the problem what is the solution.  Simple….I want to make people react.   I’m an open book.  I’ve made many mistakes and bad choices in life but those pitfalls taught me so much.  I have been diagnosed with OCD, social anxiety disorder and general anxiety disorder.  I don’t say that to gain your sympathy I just lay it out there so anyone else struggling with it knows they are not alone.

I truly believe that we are living in times that are quite frightening.   The dumb asses out there that are following Kim K and Kanye need to pay attention to events/stories that really affect our lives.  I don’t want to discuss politics all the time.   I know a little about a lot.  I wanna make you laugh, cry, agree, disagree, love me, hate me, love to hate me but above and beyond I want to learn from you.  That was an answer I gave a General Manager in a large market about 6 months ago when he asked me “What type of show do ya do?”   He looked at me like I just spoke a foreign language.

I have a decision to make very soon.  Hold out for a radio gig that will let me loose and employ my strengths or enter the podcast world where there are no rules or parameters.  On paper it looks like a no-brainer but I hate to walk away from something I love even it appears to be unfixable.

Mass-ConfusionSo Rob O’Neil is the guy that allegedly put a bullet in Osama Bin Laden’s dome and he gave an interview to Fox News and a bunch of people are upset.  Maybe it’s just me but I wanna hear what this guy has to say rather than seeing the latest selfie Kim Kardashian has tweeted of her turn cutters hanging out.

I also wanna know why they dumped his corpse at sea so quickly.  Look….this is the US Government we are talking about.  They aren’t exactly truth mongers with us citizens.  I’m sure we could prop him up and drag him around the US on a mini-tour like “Weekend at Bernies.”   Have him be a guest host on “The Voice.”   Have a “Terrorist Week” on Jeopardy.  Let him drive a cab for a weekend in New York City.  The possibilities are endless.

I illustrate the absurd by being absurd for a reason.  The majority of Americans bitch about the economy and the direction this nation is headed but do they really spend the time studying what is happening with our government or are they more interested in the dilemma of if Bruce Jenner wants a vagina?

92 million Americans are out of the work force….that’s different than unemployment and far more concerning.  It is estimated that five out of ten jobs today will no longer exist in ten years but we all seem to be giddy about landing on a comet.  We can’t find a cure for cancer, ALS, AIDS etc., but we are kicking the tires of a rock a half a billion kilometers away just to find Jason Priestly’s career?

We are soooooo concerned about being politically correct when this country was built on being a melting pot of cultural differences.  Different is good.  It’s the yin to the yang.  It causes one to look at a different opinion and heaven forbid we LEARN from these situations.  I broke my iPhone this week, shattered the screen and the first thing I muttered was “Dumb Pollock.”  I didn’t expect Al Sharpton to show up at my door.  I didn’t print flyers or t-shirts or try and organize a march.  I went out and found a kid with greasy hair, bad skin, and lots of piercings and had him fix it.  I paid for his services with money that has “In God We Trust” on the back of it while many schools have banned the Pledge of Allegiance because it contains “One nation under God.”  If this country was a horse we would put it to sleep.  Wake up America before the day comes because it’s closer than you think.

michael-jackson-mugshot1)  MICHAEL JACKSON:  Allegedly the late King of Pop paid $35 million to twenty-four boys to buy their silence of child abuse allegations.  I don’t care if he was a musical genius or not.  If these allegations prove to be true then we must not recognize his musical ability without first being concerned about his alleged cruel and sick actions towards children.

2) ATHLETES THAT COMMIT CRIMES:  I am a huge sports fan but I find it more difficult to cheer on these goons that commit heinous crimes.  Would ya buy a Charles Manson jersey and root for him to write a book or put a painting on Ebay for you to buy?

3)  KIM KARDASHIAN:  Why do we continue to support this narcissistic promiscuous floozy?  She will eventually sell pictures of her child, gave her a stupid name and yet is idolized by millions of teen-age girls?  I only hope these followers wise up and realize she is truly the antithesis of a female role model.

4)  GLOBAL WARMING:  I don’t believe for one second that a styro-foam cup and an aerosol deodorant can is gonna knock this world of its axis and melt the glaciers.  This world has been around for more than a few million years and I don’t think a few plastic water bottles are gonna knock us out of orbit.

5)  PAULA DEAN:  I’m not convinced that she is racist but I am convinced that she believes that black people are not on the same level as white people.  To me it’s simple:  Don’t view people by color or gender; view them by intelligence or stupidity but I have long ago learned that common sense is obtained and not able to be taught.
