I spent twenty-one years hosting a morning radio show before hanging up the headphones in 2011. I understand the concept of marketing and promotions and have watched social media evolve. Sometimes evolution brings about positive change but I’m afraid that social media is heading in a negative direction. It’s breaking up relationships and ruining people’s lives. The rules have changed and you don’t do that in the middle of the game without facing resentment. There are many platforms in social media but the one that disturbs me the most is Facebook.

I really enjoyed Facebook when I joined in 2009. It was a great way to connect with listeners and catch up with old friends from high school and college. It’s also a great platform to try out “content.” Post some comments, observations and news stories and you can see what interests people by their interaction. I also have made “cyber friendships” with many people on Facebook that I have never met. I like to interact on topics and various discussions. I enjoy seeing the pictures and the videos of people on vacation and during their personal time. Like most things that are enjoyable it eventually turned into a money machine and that’s when Facebook stopped showing the love that it was receiving. Mark Zuckerberg originally created Facebook as a platform to rank women on the Harvard campus in 2003. In less than twenty years he has become a very rich man with an amazing amount of political clout because social media influencers have that luxury in 2021. Zuckerberg has been trying to change the rules of Facebook for years and it’s reached a point where you will be silenced if you don’t align within the political parameters of the Facebook regime. I’m a Libertarian. I’m Zuckerbergs worst nightmare. I’m a HUGE proponent of freedom of speech, limited government and the right to bear arms. I don’t believe in concealed carry. We already have that right with the second amendment. Facebook does NOT care for people like me because I am a free thinker and will not be told what to do, say or believe. Facebook has evolved into money making machine. They “shadow-ban” those that don’t drink the Kool-Aid. The abandoned the mission statement. They took their popularity and compromised their integrity. I still see them as a vital social media platform as they continue to have an amazing amount of engagement in the upper demo albeit their long-term future reeks of failure as the younger demo flocks to Tik-Tok and Instagram.

I stopped my weekly podcast back in March for reasons I will disclose in January 2022. I’m about to relaunch it soon and I need Facebook for the connection and promotion. That makes me a hypocrite and a realist. A podcast is truly a platform that cannot be censored. They can tell you what to say, how to say it and when to say it when you sign a contract with a media company. That’s not hypothetical that’s reality. I watched it happen. NEVER give up your creative freedom. Always control your content. Great content translates into great VALUE. I don’t make money off my podcast. It’s more of a connection and therapeutically beneficial to me. I could not even imagine what I would say if an employer approached me about a social media post they didn’t agree with. We all are free thinkers and independents. We absorb knowledge and then form an opinion (at least that’s the smart way to do it. Reactions come from anger and emotion). When you are chastised for what you believe then we no longer live in a free world. I have not defriended Facebook because I still see a purpose in it that benefits me. I’ll do my best not to be squelched on that platform for reasons of self promotion. MySpace shit the bed in 2008. I don’t think Facebook is far behind. Remember when you let social media control YOU…..the YOU have lost control. Thanks for reading and please be my friend on the evil Facebook.

DANNYLAND!! the widely popular podcast will return soon!!!

I have been on Facebook since 2009. It’s a great way to keep in contact with my former listeners and radio colleagues. I like getting updates from my high school friends. I also think it’s a good platform to promote my podcast which will return this fall. I never post anything that is vulgar nor do I use profane language. I mention this because I am currently in Facebook jail for another thirty days. This is my fourth time Facebook has put me in jail. Facebook has an agenda and it’s censorship. You either kiss the ring and drink the Kool-Aid or they will shut you down. This should be alarming to anyone that uses social media.

So what did I post this time that warranted my influence on social media to be punished? I posted a news story about Hunter Biden losing a SECOND lap top. I also added the coy comment of “He’s the smartest man I know.” Apparently making a comment about the left makes me a threat to community standards. The leader of the Taliban is able to tweet on Twitter but I can’t upload a picture of my new dog on Facebook for twenty eight days because of an opinion. The last I checked we all have free will however that is slowly being eviscerated by various social media platforms that we support by posting great content. We are in a precarious position right now. Social Media is a great marketing tool but when blatant censorship comes into the formula I start to wonder if it’s really worth it.

I should have seen the censorship agenda that Facebook has a year ago when they banned this blog from being shared. What are they afraid of? I don’t have an agenda. I don’t care if you agree or disagree with me. What we all have is an opinion. Facebook seems to think that your opinion must match their agenda or your opinion will be censored. My silly little restriction on Facebook will be over in a month but I won’t change my approach. The more that Facebook tries to change me the more I am convinced that they are part of the problem. When I relaunch my podcast in the fall I will be using Facebook to promote it. I don’t think that makes me a hypocrite. It just illustrates how bad of a relationship I have with Facebook. They use me and I use them. It’s like a Larry King marriage. It’s not a matter of “if” it will end, it’s a matter of “when” it will end.

I didn’t think it would happen to me but it did. I’m talking about a mental overload I have experienced over the past three months. I backed away from this blog. I shut down my podcast back in March. Social terrorist organizations like Black Lives Matter have taken over our streets when they should be thrown in jail. People hate each other based on their individual decision to get a vaccine for the Chinese Virus. Think abut that. People will not like you if you choose to express your right of FREEDOM? The media does NOT report the truth. The media wants to increase the division and hate in this country because it “looks pretty cool on TV.” The government is getting bigger and at the same time taking away more and more of your Constitutional rights. I wouldn’t be surprised if two years from now there would be twenty Supreme Court Justices and we all will be speaking Chinese. Slow Joe calls this a “time of healing.” We are NOT healing. We are burning out of control like a California wildfire and I don’t see an end to this at all.

I’m pretty active on Facebook. I enjoy keeping in touch with all my friends across the country and respectfully discussing current events. Facebook doesn’t like people that don’t drink from their Kool-Aid fountain. I was thrown in Facebook jail AGAIN yesterday. This time it’s for thirty days. I must have posted something extremely offensive and vulgar, right? It had to be something political. It probably was something about the recent shootings and riots. It was nothing like that. It was just a strange news story about two French men that injected each other’s penis with a cream that was supposed to increase girth. I’m not kidding. This HORRIBLE story can be viewed HERE. I know facebook is a private forum but they are actually CENSORING THE NEWS!!! Slow Joe said over a week ago that “No amendment is protected.” If whoever that old guy is in Washington that thinks he is running the country doesn’t have an ounce of respect for the United States Constitution then why should anyone else?

I spent my entire radio career saying exactly what was on my mind and how I felt. You can’t do that anymore. People live in fear. People don’t want to “offend” anyone. I’m gonna be fifty-seven pretty soon. I’m not playing by those rules. When I grew up I drank water out of the garden hose. I was taught to say “please”, “thank-you”, and “you’re welcome.” I obeyed my parents and if I got out of line I got hit with a wooden spoon. That doesn’t happen today so don’t expect me to go away quietly. I actually decided to restructure and relaunch my podcast later next month. No one can tell you what to say and what to believe when you have your own podcast or blog. I hope others do the same regardless of what they think and believe. This country was built upon misfits and differences of opinion. The government is trying to eliminate the differences and make us “fall in line” with their agenda. Now is NOT the time for censorship. NOW is the time to speak up and resist. Thank you for reading. Dannyland! my highly successful podcast will return soon.

512 x 512 fist

I quit taking prescribed xanax about thirty days ago.  My mind is focused and on fire.  I am blessed to see all that is wrong with this world and the future is bleak.  We are no longer a kind society.  Self entitlement and the “me first” attitude has taken root.  It is not too late to stop this serpent from continuing its devilish duty.  Censorship is all around us.  This site has been attacked by those that try to stifle my first amendment rights and do not want anyone to face the truth.  Our Constitution is under attack on a daily basis.  The left wants to increase Supreme Court Judges by tenfold and us to lower the voting age without bothering to address the ramifications by ignoring the Constitution.  This is a blatant attack on our forefathers.  So many people have adopted the “not my problem” attitude.  I disagree.  This is a moment of our battle cry.  This is a moment of stopping the evil.  This is a moment we cannot ignore.

My entire life I have been told to look the other way and to keep my mouth shut.  That time is over.  I will not sit by silently and let those with evil intentions to steamroll those that believe in respect and integrity and the American way.  Remember 911?  It was the last time this country was united.  We have become complacent once again.  We are a hanging fruit ready to be harvested.  More government is not the solution.  It is the source of the problem.  I believe in family and have strong faith in God.  I am not in this world to say what people want to hear.  I am blessed to be on this earth to stand up against sin and those that wish to spread evil.

It takes a small amount of effort to be kind.  Kindness does not recognize color or creed.  Be kind to your neighbor or stranger and witness how they are caught off guard by your generosity.  It’s further proof that what I say is true.  Together, with knowledge and prayer, we can make a difference.  I just hope it’s not too late.
